Chery iCaur V23 Electric SUV Spotted Testing in India; Already Available in Nepal

The iCaur V23 electric SUV from Chery has been spotted undergoing tests in India for the first time, even as the model is already available in the Nepali market.

While India is still assessing the model, Nepal has already received the V23, marketed globally under the iCaur branding. In Nepal, the iCaur V23 is currently offered at an introductory price of Rs 47.99 lakh for a limited number of units, after which the price will increase to Rs 49.99 lakh.

In Nepal, the SUV is offered in a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration powered by a single electric motor producing 100 kW (134 hp) and 180 Nm of torque, balancing everyday usability with light off-road capability.

The V23 is equipped with a 59.93 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supplied by CATL.It delivers a CLTC-certified range of up to 401 km on a single charge and supports DC fast charging of up to 85 kW.

Globally, the V23 lineup is more extensive, offering both single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations. Power outputs range up to 400 bhp in higher-spec AWD versions.

Buyers can also choose between two battery options: a 59.93 kWh pack with around 360 km range and a larger 81.76 kWh battery offering up to 430 km (NEDC). Fast charging is standard, and in some regions, battery swapping is also supported.

In terms of dimensions, the V23 measures 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm. It rides on 19-inch wheels and offers 205 mm of ground clearance, along with approach and departure angles of 43 degrees and 41 degrees respectively, reinforcing its mild off-road capability.
